Mirror, mirror on the wall... (II)


Mirroring yourself in the practice is much like chasing ghosts - quite difficult and time consuming, if at all possible.

And assuming you manage to trap them, you might have to consider the unpredictable consequences - both if you dislike and if you like what you see in that mirror.

We tend to care for or at least become attached to our ghosts, which causes us to refuse or avoid getting rid of them. After all, those are OUR ghosts, not someone else's...

But when we unveil and face our fears, craves, certainties, doubts, truths and lies, we are forced to cope with our final verdict. And we are prone to be merciless judges when we finally strip ourselves down.

Once reached that point, self-discharge and forgiveness is unfortunately rare.
